Scheme of Examination – IB Junior Intelligence Officer Recruitment 2025
The IB JIO Recruitment 2025 selection process will be conducted in three tiers – Online Exam, Skill Test, and Interview. Candidates must qualify each stage to be considered for the final merit list. The detailed exam scheme is given below:

Selection Process – IB Junior Intelligence Officer Recruitment 2025
- Tier-I Exam: Candidates must appear at their allotted exam centre. Negative marking of ¼ mark applies. Questions marked “Review” will not be evaluated.
- Cut-off Marks (Tier-I): UR – 35, EWS – 35, OBC – 34, SC/ST – 33. (Ex-servicemen will be considered in their respective categories).
- Shortlisting: Based on Tier-I performance (with normalization), candidates will be shortlisted for Skill Test and Interview at ~5 times the number of vacancies, subject to meeting cut-offs.
- Higher Cut-off Possible: Actual cut-off may increase depending on competition and vacancies.
- Final Merit List: Prepared on combined scores of Tier-I, Tier-II & Tier-III. A waiting list will also be maintained as per DoP&T rules.
- Verification: Final selection subject to character verification, antecedent check, and medical examination.
- Appointment: Initially temporary; permanent appointment depends on Government norms in force.
