The new condition includes the parliamentary approval of a new Rs 17.6 trillion budget, an increase in the debt servicing surcharge on electricity bills and lifting restrictions on imports of old used cars.

India and France signed a pact for 26 Rafale-Marine Jets for Indian Navy which includes 22 single seater and 4 twin seater Jets. These Dassault Aviation Manufactured Rafale Marine Jets will be delivered by 2030 and will enhance join Navy-IAF operations.
On May 22, 2025 UK-Mauritius Signed Historic Chagos Archipelago Agreement transferring sovereignty of the Chagos Archipelago to Mauritius except for the Diego Gracia, which UK will lease for a 99-years on for the use military purposes with a £3 billion payment over the lease term.

The First Edition of Khelo India Beach Games (KIBG) 2025, held in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, concluded on May 24 with Manipur emerging as the winner with 14 medals – five gold, six silver and three bronze.

Olympians Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty received the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna award from Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya in New Delhi. The ace badminton pair, who reached the No. 1 rank in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings in 2023 and clinched the Asian Games gold medal in Hangzhou, were shortlisted for the Khel Ratna award in 2023.

Economy (India)

Higher Sugarcane FRP Approved for 2025–26 Season:The Union Cabinet approved the Fair and Remunerative Price (FRP) for sugarcane for the 2025–26 season at ₹355 per quintal for a basic recovery rate of 10.25 percent.
₹22,864 Crore Greenfield Highway Project Sanctioned: The Indian Cabinet has approved a ₹22,864 crore Greenfield highway project, a 166.8 km high-speed corridor connecting Mawlyngkhung in Meghalaya to Panchgram in Assam. This four-lane, access-controlled highway aims to boost connectivity and reduce travel time between the two states and the Northeast region.
India’s Exports Reach Record $824.9 Billion in FY 2024–25 : India’s total exports reached a record high of $824.9 billion in FY 2024-25, marking a 6.01% increase from the previous year’s figure.
In April 2025, India’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection reached a record high of ₹2.36 lakh crore, marking a 12.6% year-on-year growth, shows economic resilience: Finance Minister.
