Age for Indian coast guard recruitment 2025
Minimum 18 Years and maximum 22 years. The relevant dates are provided below:-
(a) Nvk(GD) for 01/26 & 02/26 batch Candidate should be born between 01 Aug 2004 to 01 Aug 2008 |
(b) Yantrik for 01/26 batch Candidate should be born between 01 Mar 2004 to 01 Mar 2008. |
(c) Nvk(DB) for 02/26 batch Candidate should be born between 01 Aug 2004 to 01 Aug 2008. |
Note:- Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy) candidates
is applicable if, posts are reserved for them.
Medical Standards
Medical examination will be conducted by authorized Medical Officers of Defence Forces as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to Enrolled Personnel on entry.
Height: Minimum height 157 cms. Height standards may be reduced by up to 05 cms below 157 cms for candidates having domicile of Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Garhwal, Sikkim and local tribes of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Reduction of 05 cm is also applicable to Gorkhas. Height standards may be reduced by upto 02 cms for candidates having domicile of Lakshadweep. |
Chest: It should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms. |
Weight: Proportionate to height and age +10 percentage acceptable. |
Selection Procedure For Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025
The selection of candidate is based on their performance in Stage-I, II, III & IV, meeting the laid down medical standards during medical examination and the number of vacancies available for the post in respective batch. Qualification in Stage-I, II, III, IV is compulsory for recruitment in ICG.

Stage-II involves (i) Basic Identity Check and Biometric Verfication, (ii) Assessment Test. (iii) Physical Fitness Test (PFT), (iv) Document Verification, (v) Recruitment Medical Examination, (vi) Preparation of Final Merit List for Stage-III. |
Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.
All candidates are advised to be in possession of sports rig (Shoe, T-shirt, Trouser etc). The PFT consists of:
(aa) 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes. |
(ab) 20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak). |
(ac) 10 Push-up. |
All three test of PFT are to be carried out in continuity without any break. Any break in three tests will lead to failing the PFT.

(a) Applications will be accepted ‘Online only’ from 11 Jun 25 (1100 hrs) to 25 Jun 25 (2330 hrs). Examination Fee for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025
Rs. 300/-(Rupees Three Hundred Only)
Candidates (except for candidates entitled and desirous of applying in vacancies for SC/ ST category, who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 300/-(Rupees Three Hundred Only) through online mode by using net banking or by using Visa/ Master/ Maestro/ Rupay Credit/ Debit Card/ UPI. E-admit card will be issued for the examination only to those candidates who have successfully paid the examination fee and who are entitled for waiver of examination fee.
Result Declaration
The result of each stage of selection procedure from Stage-I to Stage-III can be accessed by logging in to the candidates account on ICG recruitment website
The result of online examination at Stage-I will be announced tentatively within 30 days.
The result of Stage-II & Stage-III of the batches i.e. CGEPT-01/26 & CGEPT-02/26 will be declared separately and the same will be available in candidate‟s dashboard which can be accessed by logging in their login ID on ICG recruitment website.
