Eligibility Criteria

How to Apply
| Interested candidates who fulfil the above-mentioned eligibility criteria should go through the User Manual published on our website www.cochinshipyard.in (Career page – CSL Kochi) before filling the online application. The application consists of two phases – One time Registration in the SAP E-recruitment portal of CSL and Submission of application against the Trade/Vocation applicable. Applicants should not submit more than one application. Application once submitted shall be final. |
| Applicants should ensure that all certificates towards proof of age, educational qualification, caste, disability etc and a recent passport size colour photograph are uploaded in the SAP online application portal, failing which their candidature shall not be considered and shall be rejected. |

| The website will remain functional for the purpose of submitting applications from 29 October 2025 and the last date for submission of applications through online is 15 November 2025. |
Selection Procedure
- A. Short-listing of candidates will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification applicable to the respective trades. In case, same percentage of marks is secured by more than one candidate in prescribed qualification, relative merit shall be decided based on seniority in age.
- B. Shortlisted candidates shall be intimated through the registered email ID and will have to appear for verification of following certificates:-
- a. Print out of online application form (possessing unique registration number) dulysigned.
- b. Original certificates towards proof of age, qualification, caste, disability (if any) etc.
- c. Self-attested copies of all certificates mentioned at ‘b’ above.
- C. On successful completion of certificate verification to ascertain eligibility requirements, the applicants shall be provisionally considered for selection against the notified seats in the order of merit/reservation, subject to Medical fitness. Selected candidates shall execute Apprenticeship contract agreement through https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in portal.
Important Details
| DURATION OF TRAINING: The duration of Apprenticeship training will be for a period of one year as per Apprentices Act, 1961. Those who have undergone apprenticeship training in any other organisation for any duration under the Apprentices Act, 1961 are not eligible to apply. |
| BOARDING/LODGING: Boarding or lodging will not be provided by CSL during the apprenticeship training period. |
