Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a listed premier Schedule ‘A’ Category- I Miniratna Company of Govt. of
India, invites Online applications from eligible Graduate/Diploma holders in Engineering and Graduate
in non-engineering discipline(passed during calendar 2021,2022,2023,2024 &2025) domiciled in West
Bengal, for undergoing one year Apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship training under the
Apprenticeship(Amendment) Act 1973 for CSL Kolkata Ship Repair Unit (CKSRU), Kolkata.

Eligibility Criteria
Category – I Graduate Apprentices:-
| Criteria | Graduate Apprentices |

| Education | A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University in relevant discipline.A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in relevant discipline. |
| Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognised by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.Some Universities/Institutes/Examination Boards do not award Class or Percentage of marks and allot Aggregate Grade Points (e.g. CGPA/OGPA/CPI, etc.). In case University/Institute/Examination Board defines criteria for conversion of Aggregate Grade Point into Class and/or percentage of marks, the same shall be accepted. However, where the University/ Institute/ Examination does not define criteria for conversion of Aggregate Grade Point into Class and/or percentage of marks, the Aggregate Grade Points may be multiplied by 10 to get the required percentage of marks. | |

| Physical Standards | As prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rules 1992, and the amendments thereof, if any. |
| Reservation | Government of India Directives on reservation applicable for Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Other Backward Class (OBC) / Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) will be strictly followed. |
| DURATION OF TRAINING: : The duration of Apprenticeship training will be for a period of one year as per Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973. Those who have undergone apprenticeship training in any other organisation for any duration under the (Amendment) Act 1973 are not eligible to apply. |
| Only candidates who passed the prescribed qualification during the calendar year 2021, 2022,2023, 2024, 2025 and are domicile of West Bengal shall be considered. |
Short-listing of candidates for selection will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification as applicable to the respective disciplines.

Registration & Submission of Application
The apprenticeship registration portal has changed from portal.mhrd.nats.gov.in to nats.education.gov.in . The method of applying for those who already registered in the old portal is provided in Column A of below table. Others can follow the procedure mentioned at column B.
