Selection Process
The selection procedure consists of several stages to ensure the identification of the most suitable candidates.

- Written Examination: Two papers (Paper I: Computer-based objective test; Paper II: Subjective Civil Engineering test).

Recruitment Criteria Summary
Admit cards featuring the date, time, and venue of the recruitment test will be issued online. Issued admit cards signify provisional candidature, which remains dependent on the final verification of original documents and certificates. To gain entry into the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), candidates must present a clear, legible printed copy of both their online application form and their admit card.
Key Notes for Candidates
- Documentation: Original documents (Education, DOB, Category/EWS, Domicile, Ex-Servicemen discharge) are mandatory at the verification stage; non-production results in disqualification.
- Pregnancy Protocol: Female candidates pregnant for 12+ weeks are declared temporarily unfit, with their vacancy held in abeyance until six weeks after confinement.
- Prohibited Items: No electronic gadgets (except scientific calculators for Paper II) allowed in the examination hall.
- Medical/RME: There is no “Temporary Unfit” status; candidates declared unfit in DME may opt for RME, which is typically held the following day
