Selection Methodology
The Institute reserves the right to fill any vacancies at its sole discretion through one or more of the following methods of selection:
● Screening Test: Candidates may be shortlisted or evaluated through a formal examination designed to assess knowledge, aptitude, or subject-specific proficiency.

- Shortlisting of the online applications (Level-1) : Screening of the applications received will be done by an institute-level committee to shortlist the candidates to be called for screening test / skill test / written test / computer skill test at Level-2.
- Screening / Skill Test / Trade Test (Level-2) : The Institute will conduct a Screening / Skill test consisting of objective-type questions and descriptive-type tests carrying a total of 100 marks. The minimum Cut off percentage in the Composite type of Screening Test is 50%. Only those securing marks above the minimum cut off percentage of marks shall be eligible to attend the next level of the Selection process. A maximum of 5 candidates will be called for interview (Level-3) for a single post, and an additional 5 candidates for each subsequent post.
- Selection Committee (Level – 3) : The Selection Committee will be constituted by the Competent Authority as per the Clause 16 of Statues of the Institute.
The screening tests at Level-2 are purely of qualifying nature without any composite weightage, in order to reduce the number of candidates to be invited for the interview based on which selections are made.
Indicative Syllabus (Descriptive / Objective):

- c. Quantitative Aptitude:
- d. Test of English and Hindi Languages.
- e. Government of India Rules and Institute’s Act / Statutes / Rules.
- f. Domain area / trade related subjects as per the area of expertise required.
The candidates should answer the questions asked in the respective language only. Example: If the question is devised in English, the answer should be in English only. In the similar fashion, if the question is devised in Hindi, the answer should be in Hindi only. However, in order to test the knowledge of candidates in Hindi, suitable provisions will be made for translation of given texts from Hindi to English and vice-versa.
