Educational Qualification
To be eligible for SBI Clerk Recruitment 2025, candidates must meet the following academic qualifications as of 31 December 2025:

SBI Clerk Selection Process 2025
The SBI Clerk 2025 selection process involves three major phases:
- Phase-I: Preliminary Exam
- Phase-II: Main Exam
- Phase-III: Local Language Proficiency Test
Final selection will be based on the marks obtained in the Main Examination (Phase-II) only. The SBI Clerk Preliminary Exam 2025 is scheduled tentatively for September 2025, while the SBI Clerk Mains Exam 2025 is likely to be held in November 2025.

The Preliminary Examination will be an online test of 100 marks, comprising three sections, each with a separate time limit. There will be negative marking (1/4th) for each incorrect answer.

Phase-II: SBI Clerk Main Examination 2025
The SBI Clerk Mains 2025 will be an objective-type test with four sections and a total of 190 questions for 200 marks, with a time duration of 2 hours 40 minutes. Each section has separate timing. There is 1/4th negative marking for wrong answers.

Phase-III: Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)
Candidates provisionally selected after the Main Exam will have to qualify the Local Language Proficiency Test, unless they have studied the specified opted local language in Class 10th or 12th (proof required).

Final Selection Criteria
- Only Main Exam marks (out of 200) will be used for final merit list.
- Candidates will be selected State-wise and Category-wise based on final merit.
- Trained Apprentices of SBI will get bonus marks (2.5%) in the Main Exam, if eligible.
- Verification of eligibility, language test qualification, and document authentication are mandatory before final appointment.
SBI Clerk Wait List 2025
A wait list of up to 50% of State-category wise vacancies will be maintained, valid for 1 year from final result declaration. Candidates from the waitlist will be called on a quarterly basis, subject to availability.
